Everyone knows we live in an era where technology is used in every aspect of our life. We wake up with a phone. Go to sleep with a phone in our hand. We even sit on the toilet with a phone or tablet in our hands! Have we become so technology driven that living without tech would be unbearable? Let’s talk!
Not to show my age but when I was young we only had the big back television, a computer that typed in green letters, and an entertainment theater system thingy that was as big as me! Who would have thought that we would come so far! Cell phones came along when I was around preteens. Who would have ever thought we would have telephone that didn’t require a cord! The days of sitting in the kitchen on the floor talking to friends while attached to the wall are well over with! These kids will never know the fun of that 😂!
We have gotten so far into tech that there is something called artificial intelligence aka AI. Watching The Terminator or even iRobot was like watching an entirely different world. I mean lets face it did you really think we would get to this point in history??? Watching those movies were pure adrenaline rushes! So much action and suspense! At times they were pretty scary!
I recently watched an episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was an episode about a robot that was made with AI that made pizzas due to the lack of employees in the restaurant. I remember them saying that once you tell the robot what kind of pizza you want then it will know automatically after that. Well the robot ends up going on the fritz and making pizzas without any orders. Everyone became scared and didn’t know what to do.
In this era is there reason to be afraid of AI? Do you think that AI could possibly start to take over if it becomes too smart? Think about that episode of Iron Man where Ultron takes over Jarvis. Once he does that he searches the internet learning all about humans and realizes they are dangerous! Now it’s the robots against the humans!
