Reality tv is the craze in this day in history! Who doesn’t love good drama! Its like watching train wrecks from the comfort of your own home! One of my fave train wrecks is Love is Blind! Let’s talk!
Season 5 of Love is Blind has been airing! Netflix only gives a few episodes weekly. This leaves viewers like me on edge wondering what happens next in the subsequent episodes??? The episodes this season have been just as intriguing as past episodes. Let’s get down to some highlights.
Lets talk about Uche… Does anyone else think he’s super intense? Seems like he has the right profession for all that intenseness… Anyway the way he was grilling Aaliyah was ridiculous. Regardless if it was 2 years, 5 months, or 50 years ago she didn’t deserve all that heat he was giving her! I don’t condone cheating in the least, but she could have kept it to herself and he wouldn’t have ever known. I would hope that if your’e on a dating show that ends in marriage I’d hope you are ready for that commitment, but let’s be honest- are all the cast members really ready???
Next couple up Firefighter J.P. and Taylor the Teacher! Firstly, doesn’t this read like small hometown vibes! I love it! I’m a small town girl myself! It all sounds cute but there are huge red flags here! Taylor seems like a sweet girl but J.P can’t seem to get past her facial enhancements. Meaning he can’t get past her wearing makeup and eyelashes. If you notice while they’re in Mexico you don’t see her wearing makeup. I don’t wear makeup much but when I want to I don’t need to be judged for it! It’s sad because once he saw her he basically seemed uninterested. It’s like when people talk about the 80/20 rule- for J.P. the 20% outweighed the 80%… All that “Sugar Butt and Sugar” went all the way out the window!
Milton and Lydia- dare I say more???? These two seem like the unlikely couple! However, I love them together!!! She’s loud, outspoken, and clearly smart. She’s a Geologist for goodness sakes! Also she’s as spicy as they come! Milton is young, silly, and clearly smart as he is an engineer! These two seem like they are enjoying life and each other! I really hope they get married and turn heads! They could be a force to reckon with!
Last but certainly not least- Stacey and Izzy! These two couldn’t be more opposite in their everyday lives! It seems they would have a great time hanging out on the town but as a couple it seems unlikely! I like these two separate but not together. Izzy has the champagne dreams while Stacey actually has the champagne, whiskey, sports car, and money! A dad always wants what’s best for his daughter! This really comes clear when Stacey’s dad says “But love also needs to eat. Love needs to have a roof. Sometimes love wants to fly first class.” I’m sorry Izzy.. Stacey is too far off your radar! She’s a woman that wants a man not necessarily needs him….
I can’t leave this without bringing up the Uche, Aaliyah, and Lydia debacle! This was such a turn of events that had me reeled in! I don’t know how the beans weren’t spilled sooner! Netflix has a way of keeping us on the edge of our seats in this series! Poor Aaliyah had to sit there and listen to Lydia tell her everything except the kind of underwear Uche wears 😅. Lydia was like a kid that was exploding with all this new info to give! I felt uncomfortable watching it! After that heat Uche gave her about her infidelities and now this! Can you blame her for getting the first flight back home??? I think Aaliyah dodged a bullet! That was way too cringe!
